Western Cape expected to reach the end of the third wave by the end of September

The Western Cape is expected to reach the end of the third wave of Covid-19 by the end of September.

This, if the number of new cases of Covid-19 drops below 530 per day.

According to the Western Cape Department of Health’s doctor Saadiq Kariem the province is currently reporting around 1,000 new cases of the virus.

In the past week, cases of Covid-19 in the Western Cape have decreased by 36%, hospital admissions decreased by 24% and deaths by 23%.
