For the first time, Cape Town audiences can enjoy KickstArt Theatre’s award-winning pantomime magic as Jack and the Beanstalk takes the stage at the Baxter Theatre. Running from 3 to 27 July 2025, this beloved family-friendly production promises fun, laughter, and enchantment for all ages.

After delighting Durban families for nearly 30 years, KickstArt Theatre now brings its renowned pantomime tradition to Cape Town. Written and directed by Steven Stead and designed by three-time Fleur du Cap winner Greg King, this magical production is the perfect school holiday activity in Cape Town this winter.

A Beloved Tradition Comes to the Mother City

The all-star Cape Town cast features William Young as Jack, Roshanda Lewis as Princess Jill, and Blessing Xaba as Dame Flora Flatbroke. The ensemble includes theatre favourites Bryan Hiles, Brent Palmer, Liesl Coppin, Lyle Buxton, and Samantha Landers.

Fun for the Whole Family – With Extra Shows!

Perfect for families, friends, and theatre lovers, Jack and the Beanstalk runs from Tuesday to Sunday during the July school holidays. Sunday performances are included, offering more flexibility for busy parents and families looking for things to do in Cape Town this winter. Expect toe-tapping music, dazzling costumes, hilarious comedy, and lots of audience participation – a magical escape for all ages.
