The trust’s acting chairperson Mamphela Ramphele says the incident speaks volumes as it illustrates the work still needed to restore humanity and that it casts a slur on South Africa’s democracy.
Meanwhile, birthday preparations are in full swing ahead of the Arch’s 90th birthday next month. He celebrates his birthday on the 7th of October and the 14th , Mama Leah Tutu celebrates hers. They are patrons of The Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust’s, Tutu Tygers and this year the trust wants to celebrate their legacy.
