Health experts say there’s no reason to panic, after a new variant of the coronavirus, which mutates a lot more than its predecessors, was discovered in South Africa.

The National Institute of Communicable Diseases says the C.1.2 variant accounts for less than 3% of all samples which were analyzed, although it’s gradually showing an increase.
