Former minister Nomvula Mokonyane has been implicated in a R2.7 million PPE contract after she paid R1.6 million from her personal account to a company that won the contract.

According to the Special Investigating Unit report into PPE corruption, Mokonyane paid the money into the account of the company that was contracted to supply the Gauteng health department with 200 000 soap bars.
