The South African Revenue Service said a slight improvement in economic conditions had seen better than expected results. SARS commissioner Edward Kieswetter announced the preliminary outcome of the revenue collected from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021. There was an additional 138 billion rand collected.

The Minister of Cooperative Governance, Nkosozana Dlamini-Zuma says it will be illegal, from 12 o’clock tonight to transport liquor. She says the rule would be in place until midnight on Monday evening. The Government Gazette, published this week, however does NOT make mention of a ban on the transport of liqour.
