The Smile Foundation says much-needed reconstructive surgeries, for young patients, have now resumed at the Tygerberg Hospital.
This, as the country recently migrated to level 2 of the national lockdown, meaning that surgeries put on hold because of the lockdown, could now be attended to.
The surgeries will see young children, who survived severe burns, and those born with cleft lips and palates, undergo reconstructive surgery.
Smile Foundation chief executive, Hedley Lewis, says four children will undergo surgery at the Hospital, every week.
