The South African manufacturing sector has shown a lot of resilience over the past 2 years.

This, according to President Cyril Ramaphosa, when he delivered the key-note address at the launch of the 2022 Buy Local Summit & Expo.

Rampahosa says local producers were able to, at the height of the pandemic, not only produce and provide PPE to the local market but also to overseas countries.

Ramaphosa says even though the Covid-19 pandemic has exposed the fragility of global supply chains it helped highlight the capacity and adaptability of the local manufacturing sector.
