Government will introduce quotas on the number of documented foreign nationals that can be employed in SA

Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi says Government will introduce quotas on the number of documented foreign nationals, with work visas, that can be employed in SA’s major economic sectors.

Nxesi this week gave details on the National Labour Policy and the proposed amendments to the Employment Services Act.

He says the measures are aimed at limiting the number of documented foreign nationals employed in the country.

The Minister says the measures will be implemented in, among others, the agriculture, hospitality, and construction industries.
