Infectious diseases expert, Professor Salim Abdool Karim, says South Africa has a well-developed Covid-19 Resurgence Plan in place, which will help Government manage a second wave of covid-19 infections. Karim, yesterday participated in a WHO-Africa online press briefing, and says the plan was developed toward the end of the first wave of covid-19 infections. He says the plan comprises three strategies, to help Government effectively fight a second surge in infections.
