Universal released the movie trailer for Tom Hooper’s adaptation of the broadway musical Cats,  featuring Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, James Corden, Jason Derulo, Sir Ian McKellen, Rebel Wilson, and Judi Dench transformed into cats, complete with “digital fur”.

However, a lot of social media users have commented that that the CGI cats look a little weird with someone Tweeting that they look “nude”  (well, they are animals after all). Others commented on the small size of the cats compared to the furniture. 

I think the difficulty comes when trying to make humanoid CGI cat-people (a la Sonic The Hedgehog movie). Perhaps they should have made the faces more cat-like?
