Action Society has formally written to the Bellville Magistrates’ Court, opposing any relaxation of bail for 37-year-old Sameemah Jacobs, who is accused of abducting baby Mogamat Imaad Sharmar in June. Jacobs, currently out on R4 000 bail, has repeatedly requested amendments to her conditions, first citing a “religious excursion” and later seeking to visit her son and collect belongings in Mitchells Plain, the area where the baby was found.
