A new era of hospitality has dawned with the iconic Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town boasting a new look. The Fairmont Managed Hotel has reopened this month, after 9 months of renovations, capturing the spirit of South Africa with its elegant design and authentic cuisine.

According to a media release by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, the hotel with its breathtaking views was redesigned by a globally renowned interior and architecture firm, 1508 London.

Designers have paid homage to the Mother City’s evolution from a bustling trading port to a cosmopolitan hub.
The Cape Grace is now part of a collection of 90 distinctive Fairmont properties, around the world. The hotel’s new look is inspired by South Africa’s heritage, culture and artistry. It is located at the legendary V&A Waterfront so expect some spectacular views.
A New Chapter Begins
The Cape Grace, located on the doorstep of the city’s finest cultural, culinary and historical landmarks, has developed a reputation for being the best in town, after opening its doors in 1996. As a new chapter unfolds, the hotel will build on its legacy of hosting leading luminaries from the world of politics, film and business. It rings in a new era of hospitality.
A Culinary Delight
There is the new restaurant Heirloom to look forward to. The name is inspired by the hotel’s family roots.
The highlight will be a degustation (Tasting Menu) with 7 creative courses using locally sourced ingredients. Expect South African-inspired cuisine from the hands of well-known Cape Town Chef, Gregory Czarnecki.
Revamped Bascule Bar & Lounge
There’s also a Pool Bar for relaxed afternoons spent by the outdoor pool. Enjoy your traditional afternoon tea in the Library Lounge. In the evening have a pre or post-dinner drink in the revamped Bascule Bar & Lounge, renowned for its extensive whisky collection and exclusive wine cellar.
The Grand Transformation
Each of the 112 rooms and suites features large French windows or balconies that look out over the harbour or marina, with the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain. Also, expect handpicked artwork from local artists while traversing the various grand rooms.
The new serene Fairmont Spa
