The Capegate Ice Rink is Back! Are you looking for exciting winter fun in Cape Town? The Capegate Ice Rink is returning from 27 June to 21 July 2025, and it’s glowing with neon energy!

Capegate Ice Rink is Back – Now With a Neon Twist!

 

Located under Covered Parking at Entrance 6, this icy wonderland is open daily during the Winter school holidays. Kids aged 3 to 13, along with their parents, can enjoy 50-minute skating sessions filled with laughter, music, and movement.

Operating Hours:

Monday to Saturday: 10:00 – 19:00 (last session 18:00)

Sunday: 10:00 – 17:00 (last session 16:00)

Family Fun on Ice

 

This year’s theme? Neon magic! With colourful lights and upbeat music, the rink is all about high-energy vibes. Whether it’s a wobbly first step or a confident spin, every glide is a memory in the making.

“We wanted to bring something new and vibrant,” says Zoë Enslin, Marketing Manager at Capegate. “The neon glow adds that spark of excitement that makes winter special.”

Bright Lights, Big Smiles

 

Tickets are R70 per session, including skate hire. Children ages 3–5 must be accompanied by a paying adult on the ice. Older kids can skate solo under the watchful eye of trained staff. Want to cheer from the side? That’s an option too! Buy tickets via Webtickets or pay by card at the rink.
