Published on

Tannie Poppie, the roosterbrood lady from Laingsburg, finally boarded a plain for her once in a lifetime trip to Italy.

Through the help of dozens of donors, Poppie raised more than R100 000 in funds through the Backabuddy crowfunding campaign, and flew to Italy yesterday afternoon, to showcase her signature proudly South African roosterbrood to the Italian market.

Poppie told Smile 90.4 FM she still can’t believe that the day finally arrived and hopes to get her first taste of life on another continent. She visited the Smile 90.4 FM News team last week to talk about her life and the adventure of a lifetime that awaits.
