CAPE TOWN DAMS REACH THE 80% MARK!

Published on

The dams supplying the City of Cape Town are now 80,6% full.

Collective water consumption for the past week of 5 to 11 August 2019 has increased by 20 million litres per day from 588 to 608 million litres per day. Although daily consumption has slightly increased, we remain within our daily allocation of 650 m/l per day.

The City has again thanked all residents who continue to think water.

Sputnik Ratau the national Spokesperson for the Department of Water and Sanitation says the Department is however still concerned about the very slow recovery of the Dam levels in the Breede-Gouritz Water Management Area.
