Pastor Ray McCauley has died. The Office of President Cyril Ramaphosa announced this morning that the President is mourning the passing of McCauley.

Pastor Raynor, who was also called Ray was the founder of the Rhema Bible Church. A spokesperson for the President, Vincent Magwenya says McCauley was also the former Co-Chair of the National Interfaith Council of South Africa.

President Mourning McCauley’s Death

Magwenya says the President has offered his deep condolences to Mrs Zelda McCauley, Pastor Ray’s children, the extended family and the large community of the Rhema Bible Church.

Pastor McCauley was 75 years old at the time of his passing on Monday night. The news about this death was only released by his family last night.

President Ramaphosa said: “Pastor Ray’s passing leaves our deeply spiritual nation bereft of a remarkable leader whose impressive legacy lives on in the faith of hundreds of thousands of believers within and beyond the Rhema community.

“May his soul rest in peace.”
