Authorities in Brackenfell are calling on the public for assistance to help trace a missing mentally-challenged woman, who was last seen at the Bellville taxi rank on Sunday 19 November 2023. 28-year-old Zintle Barbra Khubeka was wearing a cropped brown tracksuit top, brown pants, black and white t-shirt and pumps at the time of her disappearance.
The woman is believed to be vulnerable and is only able to communicate in Zulu by using hand gestures. Police spokesperson Anelisiwe Manyana has more details:
“According to reports the mother of the two sisters asked her daughter to watch over the mentally challenged 28 year old Zintle, while she was busy with the washing. During an argument she told her sister that she will leave the house to Johannesburg. It is alleged that she packed all her clothes and took a taxi to Bellville. The mother and the daughter also went to Bellville to enquire about her daughter upon which a security guard at Bellville taxi rank informed them that she last saw her walking with a foreigner.”
Anyone who may be able to assist with information that could lead to Zintle’s safe return is urged to contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer RJ Savil on 079 5221761 or alternatively contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
