Published on

Convicted kidnapper and human trafficker Kelly Smith began to cry uncontrollably earlier this morning when the court was shown a video with photos, voice notes, and short videos of her daughter, little Joshlin, portraying some of her visits with the Andrews family, who loved Joshlin as their own and helped raise the little girl.

An officer of the court earlier read out victim impact statements of those who were close to Joshlin.

One of the statements were from Kelly’s mother, Amanda Smith Daniels:

“I want you to know that joshlin would have gotten all the love and attention from the Andrews family. they would have been the best parents to her, and now they are also left with great hurt, all because of you.”

The court was also in tears when a poem by 14-year-old Tayla Andrews, Natasha Andrews’ daughter, was read out in court, about how much she misses Joshlin.

Sentencing will be handed down at 9 AM on Thursday.

The State has called for life sentences for all three persons.
