De Ruyter: Loadshedding should be lifted by the end of this week

Published on

Eskom CEO André de Ruyter has confirmed loadshedding should be lifted by the end of this week.

De Ruyter was part of a team that accompanied President Cyril Ramaphosa on an oversight visit to the Tutuka Power station in Mpumalanga over the weekend.

De Ruyter says the outlook is improving, and several large units will be back online soon.

He says Koeberg Unit 2 will be coming back online by the end of July, which will provide much needed capacity.
