10% of South Africans have been vaccinated

President Cyril Ramaphosa says more than 240,000 Covid-19 vaccinations are now being done every weekday, up from over 100,000 a month ago.

More than 6.3-million vaccinations has already been administered and more than 10% of the country’s residents have been vaccinated.

There will also be 31-million doses of the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer doses arriving in the country in the next few months.

Ramaphosa says it will be enough for the rest of the year.
