The Western Cape’s Covid-19 infection rate is now the highest in the country.

According to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, the Western Cape now records the most infections for its population, with 30.8 infections per 100-thousand inhabitants currently reported here.

Gauteng currently records 28.4 infections per 100-thousand of its population.

With 22.1 infections per 100-thousand residents, Mpumalanga recorded the third most infections for its population.

The Western Cape currently has just over 32,400 active cases.
