757 people arrested for public violence & looting in Gauteng and KZN

The Police Minister, Bheki Cele says 757 people have now been arrested for public violence in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.

Cele today expressed his confidence that law enforcement agencies have the capacity to deal with the violence and end the looting in parts of KZN and Gauteng.

Cele and other Ministers in the Security Cluster briefed the media earlier today.

He says police are also monitoring people who are inciting violence on social media.
