Health MInister Dr Zweli Mkhize says the country might swop out the AstraZeneca vaccines for other vaccines whose efficacy has been proven, against the dominant variant of the Covid-19 virus, found here in South Africa. Mkhize, at a public briefing, on the latest with the vaccine roll-out programme, also confirmed the country will start its campaign using the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is likely to be delivered this week. Mkhize has however not confirmed an exact date. The Minister says there’s also the option of selling the current AstraZeneca stock.
