Western Cape officially exits third wave of Covid-19 pandemic

The Western Cape head of health, Dr. Keith Cloete says the province is now officially out of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cloete says the province’s Covid-related hospital admissions, infection rate and mortality rate have now decreased significantly.

The Western Cape currently reports an average of 26 Covid deaths per day.

A few weeks ago, an average of 150 residents died from the virus on a daily basis.
