Western Cape Covid-19 death toll increases to 15,739

The Western Cape Covid-19 death toll has now risen to 15,739, after 214 residents passed away due to complications over the past 24 hours.

The province now has more than 40,600 active cases of the virus.

There are currently more than 3,600 people in the province’s hospitals, for Covid-19 complications.

732 residents are receiving care in intensive care units.
