“We are excited to welcome the Cape Town Triathlon back on our streets and coastline after a one-year hiatus. There aren’t many events where participants are tested in the ocean, on land on a bicycle and on foot – all on the same day. Not only is the event a display of the athletes’ physical endurance, but also serves as a wonderful showcase for the Mother City’s natural beauty. We’re looking forward to hosting all the athletes in our beautiful city,” said the City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith.
