WATCH: NEWLY TRAINED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS READY TO BE DEPLOYED

Published on

The City’s Directorate of Safety and Security says the 500 newly-trained law enforcement officers, to be deployed next month, will boost safety in the City’s most crime-affected communities.

The officers will work along-side the hundreds of law-enforcers already doing duty in Cape Town.

The Mayoral Committee member for Safety and Security JP Smith and Mayor Dan Plato went along to the training academy to see them demonstrate their training

Smith says the officers received intensive training the past few weeks, to prepare them for doing duty on the streets.
