Inner Circle Entertainment proudly presents the world premiere performance of  Symphony of Santoor featuring the santoor virtuoso Rahul Sharma live in concert with Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert will feature a range of Indian classical ragas, folk, film and light classical music compositions rearranged for orchestra, with the 100-stringed santoor as the main solo instrument, accompanied by the 46-piece orchestra and musicians from India.

This production follows Inner Circle Entertainment’s highly acclaimed and world-first productions Symphony of Ghazal (2016), and Maher Zain (2018), both with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

With over 60 released albums, the master of the 100-stringed santoor, Rahul Sharma, has experimented with his music and taken the santoor into various genres from classical to folk to new age and world fusion. His album Namaste India with Kenny G is still one of the best-selling fusion albums from India.

Symphony of Santoor takes place on Friday 21 February 2020 at the Artscape Opera House. Tickets from R200 – R600 available at Computicket.
