The Western Cape Department of Local Goverment says the fire that broke out at the Caledon Provincial Hospital, last night, has been extinguished. The fire affected only one of the wards in the hospital. MEC, Anton Bredell says all affected patients had been moved back to the hospital and placed in unaffected wards. The cause of the fire is still unknown and is being investigated.

Western Cape High Court Judge President, John Hlophe, who was recently found guilty of gross misconduct, for trying to sway two Constitutional Court justices to rule in favour of former ANC President Jacob Zuma, will be part of the Judicial Service Commission as it interviews candidates for two positions at his court.
