On Tuesday 23 July, author Gabi Lowe, joined Benito Vergotine in studio on The Honest Truth. Gabi’s daughter, Jenna Lowe was a frequent visitor to the Smile90.4FM studios, and we fought her battle with Pulmonary Hypertension all the way, till she lost the fight 4 years ago.

Jenna captured the hearts of our nation and became a well-known advocate for Pulmonary Hypertension and Organ Donation through her #GetMeTo21 campaign. And her legacy continues as her foundation has set up PH clinics at Groote Schuur and in JHB to assist other PH patients, and they continue to raise awareness for organ donations in our country – where the honest truth is that it is a taboo subject filled with misconceptions.
