The City of Cape Town & Cape Town Tourism to further boost efforts to revive the City’s tourism sector

The City of Cape Town has signed a new agreement with Cape Town Tourism to further boost efforts to revive the City’s tourism sector.

The partnership will see the two entities work together to provide marketing material and visitor information services.

Mayoral Committee member at the City’s Directorate of Economic Opportunities, James Vos says they will also provide product development support to local businesses.

Vos says prior to the pandemic, the tourism industry employed around 150 000 people in Cape Town, making it the sector with the highest growth and employment potential.
