Eskom has confirmed that many employees are peacefully returning to work this morning and that there are no incidents of protests reported so far today.

The power utility says the details of any wage offer will be made public on Friday when the wage negotiations resume.

For now, the previously communicated loadshedding schedule remains in place.

According to reports, the unions and Eskom bosses are discussing a 7% wage increase.

Yesterday, Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan announced a wage agreement had been reached, but it appears the parties still need to sign on the dotted line.
