Star Wars Legend Ian McDiarmid is joining Comic Con Cape Town 2025. Comic Con Cape Town has confirmed the legendary actor behind Star Wars’ Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious, will be appearing at the festival on 3 & 4 May – just in time for Star Wars Day on May the Fourth. McDiarmid, known for his iconic role across Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith, will offer fans a rare chance to meet the Sith Lord himself. Attendees can look forward to autograph signings, photo ops, and exclusive Main Stage Q&A sessions where McDiarmid will share insights from his time in one of cinema’s most legendary franchises.
