Several audits launched to recover funds stolen from State coffers during the Covid-19 pandemic

Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi says several audits and other anti-corruption initiatives have been launched to recover funds stolen from State coffers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nxesi delivered his Department’s 2022/2023 budget vote this week and said corruption in state entities should be fought at all costs.

The Minister says Departmental officials, working with auditors and law-enforcement agencies, are hard at work to recover these stolen monies.

Nxesi says a lot of progress had been made in this regard.
