The Department of Home Affairs has released a list of scarce and critical skills, that are in high demand in the country, to help guide employers to prioritize the employment of people with these skills in the country.

Employment and Labour Minister, Thulas Nxesi says the list would also be used to help employers to easier obtain work visas for skilled foreign employees.

The Minister says employers must then encourage these highly-skilled individuals to transfer their skills and knowledge to South Africans.
