Second hand toilets, dentures, and coffins

Lindy gave thrift shoppers a run for their money with her Stat Chat this morning. Apparently there’s an item that you should shy away from buying second hand.

Pediatrician Nathan Bexfield explained why a used cot isn’t a good purchase.

“There are so many different cribs out there and we see a lot of recalls for cribs. It’s kind of hard to find out which ones have been recalled and which ones haven’t.”

The worst second hand sales in Cape Town

Smile Breakfast was curious about the worst ‘pre-loved’ items our listeners have seen for sale. False teeth is something that came up a lot. But we also heard about “vrot Birkenstocks”, a used toilet, a dirty gas braai, and even a coffin.
