Published on

South African citrus farmers are expected to set a new export-record this year, with exports expected to reach an estimated 158.7-million cartons in 2021.

CEO at the Citrus Growers Association, Justin Chadwick, says if this milestone is reached it will represent a third consecutive season of record export-numbers to overseas countries.

Chadwick says South African farmers exported 130-million cartons of citrus-fruit in 2019, followed by 146-million cartons exported in 2020.
