Employment and Labour Minister, Thulas Nxesi says the Unemployment Insurance Fund has, to date, already recovered more than R2-billion-Rand that was inappropriately paid out last year in the fund’s TERS-scheme. Nxesi says unauthorized payments were made to prison inmates, university students and deceased people. The scheme also overpaid and underpaid to employers in some instances.
