Regent Road Social: gourmet food, drinks, live music

Published on

Got any plans for the end of May? How does an street-dining-festival experience sound? Presenting the Regent Road Social on May 28!

The Jewel of the Mother City

Many locals regard Regent Road as the ‘jewel’ of the Mother City. It’s wide spectrum of culture and heritage certainly makes it a must-see for everyone. The Social aims to celebrate the diversity of Regent Road by opening its galleries, hotels, shops and restaurants to family and friends.

The Regent Road Precinct Association presents this open-air festival, after hosting two other successful events in Sea Point. Their objectives for this festival are:

  • Build community spirit in a safe space
  • Showcase Regent Road as a world-class destination
  • Promote social diversity and cohesion
  • Promote local businesses and trade
  • Celebrate local arts, and culture in Sea Point
  • Present the need for more pedestrian areas

Art, dance and be merry!

The Regent Road Social in Sea Point, will be bustling with visitors and come alive with music from top local acts on two stages and DJ boxes on either side of the shopping district.

You can also catch a variety of performances along the road including dancers and various Marimba acts. Or you can join a more peaceful performance – like the Street Art Extravaganza – where artists paint murals and portraits. There will also be several engaging activities suitable for young and old on the day like salsa dancing lessons from 18h30 on the road.

Join in on the cheers (or tears) with fellow football fanatics and watch the final games of The Premier League from 17h30 with a drink and snacks in hand! If football is not your thing, you can watch the Monaco Grand Prix at 15h00 at the festival.

Plus – entrance is free. Will we see you there?
