Local Covid-19 scenario planners believe both hospital admissions and deaths in the 4th wave of the covid-19 pandemic will be lower than the previous 3 waves.

The South African Covid-19 Modelling Consortium yesterday briefed the media on the various scenarios, that may present themselves, ahead of the 4th wave. This includes IF people will still adhere to mask-wearing and other health protocols and whether a new variant, that escapes immunity, will present itself.
