LISTEN: Travel and tourism kicks up a storm in the Cape

Premier Alan Winde says plane tickets between Cape Town and London in the United Kingdom could become more affordable. This follows an announcement that British airline, Virgin Atlantic will again be flying directly between the Mother City and London, from early November. Premier Winde says this is great news:

Meanwhile: Cape Town is set to experience one of its busiest cruise ship seasons to date, with millions of rand that will be injected into the economy. The season kicks off in October, with 104 ships confirmed to dock at the Port of Cape Town, through the summer. CEO of Wesgro, Wrenelle Stander says this includes 26 passenger ships.
