IPID report reveal shocking police crimes against public

Community Safety and Police Oversight MEC, Reagen Allen has expressed his horror at the recent IPID report which has revealed allegations of SAPS members committing crimes against members of the public. The report shows that in the Western Cape, between April last year and March this year – 11 deaths – as a result of police action — occurred. MEC Allen says additionally, 10 counts of torture and 9 cases of rape by a police officer were also revealed.
