How to Make an All Black Outfit Interesting

As the weather starts getting cooler, our wardrobes start getting darker.

I love an all black outfit – it can be slimming, effortless and chic. However, it can also look boring, sombre and depressing – which isn’t the look to aim for.

Here are some ways to make an all black outfit interesting.

Add Statement Jewellery. Statement jewellery doesn’t have to be larger than life. I think when women hear the words Statement Jewellery, they think massive and chunky. It can be stacking some dainty rings on more than one finger, or fine necklaces layered together.  It’s just about using jewellery to add a bit of personality – so if it’s dainty or chunky – it will work.

Wear white trainers. Even the most broken-in white sneakers feel fresh and new when accenting an all-black look. Bring on the cool-girl vibes.

A pop of red is always amazing. It could be your nail polish, your lipstick or a red clutch bag, red shoe, or red belt. Just don’t do all of these together. Stick to the rule of a pop of red.

A show stopping handbag. Sparkles pop extra hard against a darker background. So grab that metallic handbag and jazz up that all black outfit instantly. Other colours and textures work well too, so play around.

Have fun playing around!
