Grade 4’s invited to enter 2022 Story Star writing competition

The Western Cape Education Department’s ‘Story Star’ for 2021 has been announced and it’s Grade 4 learner at Laerskool Mikro in Kuilsriver, Xia du Toit.

MEC Debbie Schafer visited the school yesterday to announce Xia as the winner, and to premiere the next instalment of the animated film ‘Story Stars: The adventures of Felix and Felicity’, which now includes Xia’s story and her as a character alongside Felix and Felicity.

Schafer has also invited this year’s Grade 4’s to enter to competition and add on to the story.

Xia received a tablet, book bag and branded stationery as first prize, while her school will receive a R10 000 transfer payment for learning and teaching support material.
