Former eThekwini Mayor, Zandile Gumede’s corruption case is set to head to the High Court, in June this year, for a pre-trial hearing. Gumede and 20 other co-accused are facing 2 786 fraud and corruption charges, relating to the irregular 2017 Durban Solid Waste tender that cost in excess of R 430-million. The hearing is set for 14 June.
