Parents have been encouraged to help their children monitor their kidney-health, by regularly doing or going for a blood pressure test.
This, according to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital which says that regular blood-pressure tests can help doctors detect and diagnose kidney-disease at an early stage.
The hospital is today joining the rest of the World, in commemorating World Kidney Day.
Communications officer at the Hospital, Dwayne Evans says the earlier the disease is detected, the earlier treatment can be started.
