  Around 100 000 families have ‘semigrated’ from Gauteng to Cape Town over the past 36 months, placing increased pressure on the city’s infrastructure. This is according to Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, who spoke at the annual City-Cape Chamber engagement this week.   The Mayor outlined the City’s budget priorities and major projects for the coming years, which include major water and sanitation works, investment in safety and security, and social support programmes.
