    Two suspects who were caught after they allegedly tried to smuggle an assortment of narcotics from the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court into Pollsmoor Prison will remain in custody pending their next court appearance.   Earlier this week, police responded to an anonymous tip-off that illicit substances were in the holding cells of the Wynberg court.     Parents and caregivers, who have applied for a spot at a Western Cape school for grades R, 1 or 8, will find out where their child will be attending school on Friday. The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has advised that the application outcomes for the 2026 school year will be made available on its official admissions system.   This applies to those who applied during the on-time admission window earlier this year.
