The Western Cape Government has rolled out the second phase of its jobseeker travel voucher programme. The initiative was introduced last year, to help unemployed residents access job opportunities by allowing them to travel for free on Golden Arrow buses across the Cape metro. More than 1,000 e-hailing operating licences are available in the Western Cape. The City Urban Mobility department says following a review, in partnership with the Provincial Government, they have identified a need for 1,106 additional operating licences to meet commuter demand.
